The Genjitsu Stargazing Society has always been an openly queer cassette label, and one of the things we absolutely despise is the existence of TERFs (trans-exclusionary radical feminists). These people are in no way real feminists, and they go against everything the movement stands for.
These bigots are found everywhere in the Philippines—from folks in the art scene pretending to give a shit about women’s rights while utilizing microaggressive TERF rhetoric in the process, to apologists who spew crap online claiming they aren’t TERFs as their paragraphs say otherwise.
What’s worse is we at times see people we personally know supporting them, and it just pisses us off to no end. They, intentionally or not, try to erase the existence of those like trans women, trans men, and non-binary folks, and it only contributes more toxicity to a picture already filled with murder, harassment, rape; you name it.
It’s time to end this violence. When you see this kind of bullshit, speak up if you can—it’ll go a long way. Trans women are women, trans men are men, and non-binary folks are who they say they are; those who can't agree can fuck right off.
